The Future50 Project

Future50Project

The Future50 Project is a community crusade against hunger and an ambitious plan to raise funds that will help the Placer Food Bank continue its essential mission. With your support, we can feed more families, upgrade our equipment and facilities and improve food distribution throughout El Dorado, Nevada and Placer counties.

Placer Food Bank has proudly served this community for over 50 years, and the money raised through the Future50 Project will help us continue for the next 50 years, and beyond! We invite you to contribute what you can. Any amount will help those who are hungry in our region.

Here’s what you can do:

  • For a financial gift that keeps on giving into perpetuity, donate to the Placer Food Bank Endowment Fund, managed by the Placer Community Foundation. To learn more: https://placercf.org/placer-food-bank-endowment-fund/

  • Help fill a pantry! Make an online food donation by going to: https://donate.placerfoodbank.org/event/donatefood/ You can “shop” and donate funds for food boxes, food bags and snack bags for our Kids Backpack program. A listing of non-perishable and perishable food items will be shown, so you will know how your donation is at work to help us purchase items for distribution. If your company or community organization is interested in hosting an online fund+food drive, you can register yourself or a team.

  • Note: part of adapting to safety issues since COVID-19 struck, Placer Food Bank stopped collecting canned goods through community food drives. To continue with the safe handling and efficiency of food ordering and distribution, the online platform is our main source of ensuring we continue to feed those in need throughout the communities we serve.

  • Take the Future50 Project Patron Pledge! Commit to donating $50, whether all at once or over the course of a year.

  • Become a hunger-relief advocate. After you donate your $50, ask 50 friends to do the same!

Donate whatever you can today.
