Join the fun at Placer Food Bank’s “Fill The Pantry” Dinner and Auction April 11

Placer Food Bank proudly invites  the community to join them  in the fight against hunger by attending its signature fundraiser that is just around the corner. The 2019 Fill the Pantry Dinner and Auction will be an evening you won’t want to miss on Thursday, April 11, 2019.

This annual affair helps the Placer Food Bank stock its shelves for the year to come, raising nearly $40,000 annually, thanks to the many partners of Placer Food Bank that make the event possible through sponsorship and the members in the community who attend this gala event year after year.

The 2019 version of Fill the Pantry is set to take place at a familiar venue, the always enjoyable Blue Goose Event Center in the heart of Loomis.  The event will feature a fabulous BBQ style dinner, a no host bar and plenty of activities to entertain attendees of all ages.

When it comes to entertainment this year, the Placer Food Bank has added new faces as well as returning favorites to its program this year.  While this event’s primary purpose is to raise funds for the non profit organization that serves Placer, El Dorado and Nevada Counties, it provides  guests with a night of great dining, raffles, auctions and live music that is sure to put plenty of “fun” in fundraising.

Taking the stage will be several talented artists including popular country recording artist Rachel Steele, and her band, Road 88. Voted as Sacramento’s Best Local Band, Steele is has performed with numerous artists, including country artist Brad Paisley whom she opened for in Placer County last summer at Thunder Valley Casino. This will be the first time Steele will be part of the Fill the Pantry and she is looking forward to help aid in the local fight against hunger

Fill the Pantry 2019 will include the return of singer songwriter Cynthia Renee and Co.  Renee has been voted best local band in Folsom and El Dorado Hills for three consecutive years. Renee and guitarist Jeff Brzozowski will perform an acoustic mix of originals and favorites during social hour and dinner, which will be the prelude to the evening’s main event, with numerous auctions, raffles and fun, mixed with Steele and Road 88 electrifying the stage throughout the the evening’s festivities.

At this time auction and raffle items are rolling in daily, donated from area businesses that offer something for everyone including spa packages, fine dining, bicycles, gift baskets along with unique items like  a NASCAR ride along experience, luxury jewelry, valuable legal services and an opportunity to spend a day golfing and lunching with one of the area’s beloved sushi chefs.

This years Fill the Pantry will be co-hosted by local media professionals Adam Frick and Bill Sullivan.

Frick is the co-founding CEO of Folsom TV and a local marketing professional that is known as a colorful storyteller. A few of Frick’s successes include the Ulink Network, Referral.com and the founding of the Crush Wine Run for charity. In addition to hosting the festivities, Frick’s Folsom TV will be live streaming much of the event to help Placer Food Bank raise awareness through its vast social media platforms.

Sullivan is the Associate Publisher of Gold Country Media which publishes six area newspapers including The Loomis News, Press Tribune, Placer Herald, Auburn Journal, Lincoln News Messenger and the Folsom Telegraph. He has earned 14 professional awards in his career.  Gold Country Media has been a longtime media partner with Placer Food Bank.
